Hey Friends!

Remember us? Jess and Maggie here!

We know it’s been awhile, but we’ve been hard at work these last couple years.

When we started LAVL, we were just looking for a way to reinvent ourselves. We started a blog purely as a hobby and a way to live a more actively creative lifestyle. We were secretly hoping to change our lives, but we had no idea what the universe had planned for us.

Our cute little blog opened doors we never expected, and we found a lot of stuff we liked behind them. We met some really neat people, made new friends, and started to experience Asheville in a whole new way.

We also found a bit of ourselves. The constant exploration and creation process became more of an addiction than just a hobby.

The thing is, we began to see the impact even our quaint blog could have when we used it to amplify the voices and stories of those around us. It made us hungry to see just how we could take these experiences and find a way to be of service.

It wasn’t long before one of our dear friends approached us with the perfect opportunity. He owns a business and he needed help. Social Media was a joyless chore for him, and he often found himself struggling to think of posts and ideas. As for his website and email newsletter, bare minimum was the name of the game.

Our friends’ lackluster engagement also had one more major repercussion, he said he felt ashamed and guilty for not being better at social media. Those are some massively negative vibes we just can’t stand for!

We delightedly took on the challenge and these last couple years have been a learning experience. Now, we’re taking all we’ve learned, and we’re ready to reinvent ourselves all over again.

We thought about changing our name to something more direct. You know, something clever like “Grassroots Media” or “Modern Marketing Solutions”; but honestly, that just isn’t us. We are Life in the AVL.

We are Asheville Creatives working to help other Asheville Creatives by producing digital media solutions for good. We want to meet you where you’re at, so we can help you get where you want to be. We’re pumped and ready to assist creative Ashevillians like ourselves who might be looking for a little reinvention of their own.

Don’t worry, we’ll still be sharing our favorite aspects of life in our mountains. We hope you hold on tight and take this next ride with us. We’re all in this together!

Stay safe, Asheville! We love ya!
