A couple days ago, I shared Ali and Jake’s Asheville wedding story with you. Today, I want to talk more about one of the vendors that made it possible. If you have been a reader for a while, or dug a little more deeply into our archives, you probably stumbled upon a story about our trip to Lady Luck Flower FarmFlowers on Flowers on Flowers

Jess and I are pretty much obsessed with all things botanical and beautiful. If they have a medicinal property, or a pleasant aroma, it only increases our enjoyment. Our trip to the flower farm was one of the most memorable days of last summer.

A family-owned farm, Lady Luck Flower Farm is located in Leicester, North Carolina, which is just west of Asheville. Though the farm is only ten miles from my house, it’s as the crow flies, and still constitutes a half hour drive through gorgeously winding mountain country.

For the few hours we were there, Jess and I felt we had departed from reality and stumbled upon a dream world. The farm holds Community Pick days, and we paid $50 to fill a bucket with as many flowers as possible. We danced with bees and butterflies as we walked through row after row of bright, fragrant flowers that rose all the way up to our shoulders.

While planning her wedding, Ali made a trip to Lady Luck Flower Farm. Floral arrangements can take up an extraordinary chunk of a budget. Thankfully for Ali and Jake, this didn’t become a problem. By sourcing their flowers this way, they were able to buy bulk and save money. As we mentioned in the previous post, Ali and her brigade of bridesmaids pieced the blooms together the night before the wedding; and the result was incredible, unpredictable elegance.

Whatever you do, you should definitely check out Lady Luck yourself. Though it’s a flower farm, they have something for everyone. Whether it’s leading a class on floral arrangements, or hosting a fancy dinner under the stars, this local farm is finding new ways to share their magic with the world.
