When it comes to wedding venues, Asheville has no shortage of “fairy-tale”-worthy destinations. Search for the topic Asheville + Wedding on Google or Pinterest and you will receive an onslaught of gorgeous photos snapped everywhere from the Biltmore and the Blue Ridge Parkway, to Pack Square Park and the River Arts District.

Part of the beauty of writing this series is the opportunity to discover hidden gems we hadn’t found before. For me, one of those gems is Homewood. It’s a 1920’s style stone manor, located in Asheville’s historic Montford District. Stepping into this dramatic and dreamy venue feels as though you’ve been transported to another time and place: a time before we watched princes marrying their princesses on television.

You probably wouldn’t expect it, but from a planning and practicality aspect, this particular spot offers a lot of pros. It has an event capacity of 150 for those looking for bright lights and excitement. However, Homewood is also equipped for more intimate ceremonies, such as elopements. This means, even if you’re planning a low-budget affair, don’t rule this place out.

As a bonus, this prime location is just a short walk from downtown Asheville, making it convenient for those staying in hotels, as well as revelers looking for fun after the party. They also offer overnight parking for guests, which you might have guessed, but is virtually unheard of.

Homewood is definitely high-ranking on our list of top venues in Asheville (and North Carolina). Be sure to check out their website for more information.

Also, we have a couple great stories ahead for you, so don’t miss it!
